Auburn to host Veterans Day gun lockbox giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 8

In recognition of Veterans Day, the City of Auburn will host a free gun lockbox giveaway this Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Auburn City Hall (map below).

The event is part of a regional gun safety initiative led by Public Health — Seattle & King County’s Regional Office of Gun Violence Prevention.

Free handgun lockboxes will be distributed while supplies last.

The giveaway aims to promote responsible firearm storage and prevent accidental injuries or theft by encouraging residents to secure their firearms safely at home.

This event is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to arrive early, as quantities are limited.

The City of Auburn and King County health officials have supported similar events across the region to increase access to firearm safety resources and encourage safe gun ownership practices.
