King County Metro is seeking public feedback to refine the design and planning of the RapidRide I Line. The new route will upgrade the current Route 160, formerly Route 169 and 180, between Renton and Auburn Station.
In 2019 King County Metro gathered community feedback to inform the overall project design. Using this feedback the RapidRide I Line was developed, connecting Renton, Kent, and Auburn. This new RapidRide line will provide quick and convenient transportation between these three South King County cities and all they have to offer.
King County Metro is now in the planning stages for construction, slated to begin in 2022. Community members are encouraged to provide feedback to help refine the design. “We are gathering input on roadway and intersection changes and projects to make it easier and safer to get to the bus,” states the RapidRide I Line website.
