Deputy Shuey served with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office for 26 years. A post on the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page states he was “a proud husband and father, and a beloved member of PCSD. He worked dayshift central patrol and had just started his shift when the incident occurred.”
