The Spunky Monkey Bar and Grill are opening their doors Saturday, May 18th for a fundraising Luau Party. The event announcement shares that “we are holding an emergency fundraiser for a member of our Monkey family, Doreen King.”

The fundraiser will feature an outdoor BBQ luau, at $15.00 a plate with 100% of the proceeds going to King. The Spunky Monkey Bar and Grill is also donating $1.00 per drink and $.50 per beer to the fundraising efforts.
The proceeds of this fundraiser will go towards medical care for King. The funds raised will also assist in travel expenses for King and her husband Art, “to provide comfort and the ability for her to travel home to be cared for by her family,” said a Spunky Monkey Bar and Grill representative.
