Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) has announced that she will be hosting virtual town halls, called Coffee Breaks with Kim, to meet directly with 8th district residents and connect on issues that are important to the district. The first Coffee Break with Kim will be this Thursday.

“One of my favorite parts of being a member of Congress is meeting constituents around the district and learning about their lives and the issues that matter to them,” said Rep. Schrier. “I’ve been disappointed that I haven’t been able to hold in-person town halls during this pandemic. With so much of our lives now taking place online, these Coffee Breaks will allow me to hear from 8th district residents, and for them to hear from me, while being safe.”

Since taking office, Rep. Schrier has held 44 town halls, including four telephone town halls specifically on the coronavirus. As we continue social distancing, Coffee Breaks with Kim is an effort to continue to stay connected during this public health crisis. This will be an opportunity for 8th district residents to share their views and ask questions related to the federal COVID-19 response as well as raise any other issues that are important to them.

The Coffee Breaks will be open to residents of the selected town and surrounding towns, capped at 50 attendees. To ensure participation, residents must RSVP at the links below. Attendees are encouraged to submit their questions ahead of time through the RSVP form.

The first announced Coffee Breaks with Kim will be:
