Veterans Day is Monday, November 11th. The US Flag should remain at full-staff on this day.
On Veterans Day we honor individuals who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Veterans Day should not be confused with Memorial Day or Armed Forces Day. Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died while serving our country. Armed Forces Day is a day we celebrate and appreciate all active service members.
If you find that your US Flag is worn and ready to be retired, please do not throw it away. The American Legion (Post 78) will properly dispose of any US Flag that is turned in at the receptacle in front of City Hall (25 E. Main St).
