No Suspects in Saturday Lakeland Hills Shooting

Auburn Police responded to a report of a shooting in Lakeland Hills shortly after 8:00 pm on Saturday night.  Witnesses told police that the shooting occurred near the Evergreen Way and Lakeland Hills Way intersection.

Witness statements indicate that two vehicles were driving on Lakeland Hills Way toward Lake Tapps Pkwy. Auburn Police Commander Steve Stocker confirmed that witnesses told police an SUV was following a VW Jetta when the driver and passenger of the SUV shot at the Jetta multiple times.  Stocker also confirmed multiple shell casings were found in the road at the scene of the shooting.

Neither vehicle remained at the scene and no license plates were obtained by witnesses.  At this time police have not identified either party in this incident.

This is the second shooting in the Lakeland area within two weeks.
