What’s on the Agenda? Auburn City Council Study Session Apr. 25, 2022

The Auburn City Council meets every second and fourth (and fifth if there is one) Monday evening for a study session. The city council is provided presentations, informational updates, and discuss ordinances and resolutions that are up for consideration during a study session.  No votes happen during a study session.

This week’s agenda has one ordinance and four presentations for discussion. The council will also receive one report from staff. As with each study session, this week’s agenda has several important items of interest to the community.

Inclusive Auburn Update

Preservation Funding Ad Hoc Committee Report and Proposed Strategy – The Council Ad Hoc Committee on Pavement Preservation Funding met over 3 meetings to discuss the funding shortfall and develop a recommended funding strategy to attain sustainable annual funding

Economic Development Partnership – The Economic Development Manager will present information about the partnerships with the Downtown Auburn Cooperative, the Auburn Area Connect and the Business Improvement Area Committee.  This is the second of a five-part series from the Economic Development Division

Ordinance No. 6858 MCI Communications Services, LLC has applied for a new franchise agreement to continue to operate their existing fiber optic telecommunications facilities located in the public way

Note: Items may be added and removed from the agenda, and will be notated at the start of the study session as such.  The times listed next to each item may be the allotted time for these items, but are not necessarily adhered to, and may be extended at the council’s discretion.
