AMHS’s Cheer team had an impressive and undefeated season this year. Like it was nothing, these Lions went undefeated while completing and beating over 90 teams from all over the country.

In October the team petitioned the school board to be able to go to Florida and participate. They were able to go and they ended up winning the national championship. The team did amazing and so did their coach Shana Biggs. Biggs won the Washington State Cheerleading Coaches Association (WSCCA) coach of the year in 2018 and was inducted into the WSCCA hall of fame in 2021.

In a comment on their Instagram, the AMHS Cheer team said they “are so incredibly thankful for such amazing coaches who have put so much time and effort into this team, We would not be where we are today if it wasn’t for them! They are so driven to help us reach our highest potentials in every aspect in and out of cheer. We love you so much Shana, Kaitlyn, and Caitlin. We are so proud to cheer under your name!”
