State Lawmakers Approve Bill to Clarify Informed Consent for Health Care Decisions

The Senate debated concurrence on Substitute Senate Bill 5185, which would create patient capacity for provided informed consent on health care decisions with doctors.

Senator Claire Wilson (D-Auburn, 30th LD) was a co-sponsor of the original Senate Bill.

Lawmakers arrived at concurrence with the House amendments to the bill 35-14, which now goes to the Governor’s office, for an opportunity to be signed into law.
