Public Hearing Planned on Proposal to Sell County Land to the City of Auburn

king county logoThe Metropolitan King County Council will hold a hearing on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 1:00 pm via Zoom to gather public comment on a proposed ordinance that would allow the County to sell a parcel of land to the City of Auburn.

SUMMARY

King County is proposing this ordinance to sell 1.58 acres of the surplus portion of the Auburn Park and Ride facility located in King County Council District Seven to the City of Auburn for city purposes. The following is a legal description of the area:

LOT 1, CITY OF AUBURN SHORT PLAT NO. SPL21-0008 RECORDED UNDER RECORDING NUMBER _________, RECORDS OF KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, SITUATED IN A PORTION OF THE J. BRANNON DONATION LAND CLAIM NO. 38 IN THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER AND THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 7, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 5 EAST, W.M., IN THE CITY OF AUBURN, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON

a.m. will be distributed after the meeting. Please submit your COMMENT EMAIL by emailing
clerk@kingcounty.gov.

    How is it that the city of auburn has so much money to buy property when most of the resident’s of auburn can just get by paying there TAXES
