Why did you choose to compete?
The Miss America Program provides good experiences for young women where they learn skills applicable to life and promotes higher education of women.

What are you most excited about in the competition?
I’m excited to make lasting relationships with the other girls and the positivity that all the girls show toward each other.

What are you most nervous about in the competition?
I am nervous for the talent portion of the competition. Everyone this year is extremely talented and it’ll be a difficult choice for the judges to make.

What is your talent, and why did you choose it?
I am singing when she loved me by Sarah McLaughlin. I chose this song because I love Disney and the song itself has a strong and deep emotion that really moves people.

What is your platform?
My platform is Break the Stigma – Mental Health Awareness

Why is your platform important to you?
I chose this platform in particular because many of my friends and family have mental health issues that deeply affect their daily lives. I would like to bring mental health up in priority. We often focus on physical health and ignore the other aspects of being a healthy individual. We have come a long way, but I would like to see further improvement of the way we view people with poor mental health and the treatment they get.

What does representing Auburn as Miss Auburn’s Outstanding Teen mean to you?
Representing Auburn is a great honor that would allow me to inspire others to make changes you’re passionate about in the community you live in. I would love to be an influence to the people of Auburn and get a chance to spread awareness about my platform.
