Let Pierce County Know What Transit Updates You Want to See

Pierce County is expecting to welcome 370,000 more people to our region by 2050. This will increase traffic congestion locally and regionally – yet smart growth requires that people and goods be mobile. That is why the level of public transportation available to people in Pierce County is a critical component in the success of our growth. As your local transit agency, Pierce Transit is an important partner in achieving this goal.

To ensure Pierce Transit is ready to meet the expanding mobility needs of our growing community, we are updating our agency’s “Destination 2040” Long Range Plan and asking our community to help us envision the future of transit in Pierce County.

We hope you will tell us:  What public transportation enhancements or changes would you like to see in Pierce County between now and 2040? Please click here and take 2-3 minutes to tell us what priorities are most important to you.

Thank you for providing your input and helping us shape a plan that will best serve you. Once we have heard from people around our service area, we will offer the draft updated Long Range Plan for public comment and input. We expect the Pierce Transit Board of Commissioners to adopt the updated Long Range Plan in early 2020.
