King County Flood Control District Wants Your Opinion

Flooding is the most common natural disaster we face in King County and the Lower Green River is at risk of significant flooding.

In the interest of protecting people, property, and the environment, the King County Flood Control District is developing a Flood Hazard Management Plan to guide future flood reduction investments. They are looking for community feedback during the scoping comment period of the Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement on the Flood Plan and they’d like to hear from you!

A severe flood could have enormous consequences for the safety, livelihood, and viability of our community. Please learn more about the flood planning process and most importantly provide feedback at lowergreensepa.org. The comment period closes May 1.
