Give Big to Auburn

Today is the Give Big 2018 event.  This is a day is a one-day event to raise funds for nonprofit organizations serving Greater Seattle and several of Auburn’s local charity organizations are participating.  During this event, more than $250,000 will be awarded to participating King County nonprofits by the Seattle Foundation through the Dollars For Change program.  Twelve Dollars For Change awards will be randomly selected based off of donations made during the Give Big event.

Qualifying Auburn charities for today’s event are:
The Auburn Food Bank, Auburn Symphony Orchestra, Auburn Valley Humane Society, Auburn Public Schools Foundation, Nexus Youth and Families, Soos Creek Botanical Garden and Heritage Center, Wesley Community Foundation, White River Valley Historical Society, Green River College Foundation, Pacific Ballroom Dance, South King Health Foundation.

Auburn has many other great charities that not participating in today’s event.  Senator Joe Fain has created a comprehensive list of local community organizations.  These organizations provide services for our communities and often survive solely on donor contributions.   If you know of a local charity organization that should be included, contact his office with their information.
