Testing remains one of the key ways to help combat the spread of COVID-19.  With the continued high positivity rate in South King County, Auburn has multiple testing locations available. One of Auburn’s first testing sites continues to serve the community every Tuesday morning.

Located at the Auburn Seventh-day Adventist Church (402 29th St SE Auburn, WA 98002), this site offers drive up or walk up testing. COVID-19 testing is free. Sponsored by MultiCare, the testing site is staffed by Medical Teams International.

Medical Teams International Patient Service Representative Emily Crabb shared that “results are typically available within two to five days. However, patients may begin checking their results online as soon as 24 hours after being tested.”  Instructions for obtaining results are provided to patients at the time of testing.

No pre-registration is required for testing.  To assist in quick and smooth check-in, individuals are asked to bring identification and their insurance card (if they have one).  These are not necessary to get tested, but greatly help to relay important check-in information.

We have had wait times of 0-10 minutes,” said Crabb. “With the actual registration and swabbing being completed in approximately 5-10 minutes.”

An insurance card is requested in hopes that funds can be recouped from insurance companies that cover testing.  Patients will never see a bill.
