I know this spot very well. This is what happens when people coming off southbound 167 onto 15th Street keep going into that left turn after the light has already turned red. Oh, yes. I have seen this many times. When the light is red, it’s time to stop, not just keep racing through the light and betting no one will run into you.

My guess is that the white car ran the light, and was struck on the drivers’ side by someone taking a left and getting ONTO southbound 167. I don’t know how the other two cars got involved. Hard to tell from the video.

I usually don’t put up a second comment in a row to articles, but I think it’s time for Auburn to re-install red light cameras, as well as speed cameras…and do it all over town. People are literally rocketing up and down Auburn Way, both north Auburn Way and south, (especially after dark) and will continue to do so until the Mayor and the City Council put a stop to it once and for all.

You want better roads and safer streets? Make the bad drivers pay for it all. There you go. 🙂
