(map below). \nWith a suggested donation of $20\, attendees can choose a handcrafted bowl and enjoy a gourmet serving of soup. \nFunds raised benefit the Auburn Food Bank’s mission to fight hunger in South King County. \nEach handcrafted bowl\, created by local artists\, is intended as a reminder of the empty bowls in homes facing food insecurity. \nNo RSVP is required\, and all are welcome to attend. \n“Bring all your friends\, family and coworkers to our drop-in event – no reservations needed!” organizers said. \nMore information is available at www.theauburnfoodbank.org.

SUMMARY:Auburn's 'Clean Sweep' event will be Saturday\, April 26
DESCRIPTION:The City of Auburn is seeking Volunteers to participate in its annual Clean Sweep event on Saturday\, April 26\, from 9 a.m. to Noon\, in celebration of Earth Day. \nThe community-wide cleanup initiative invites individuals\, families\, businesses\, and service groups to help beautify parks\, trails\, and public spaces across Auburn. \nTasks will include landscaping\, planting\, weeding\, litter pick-up\, and general clean-up. \nParticipants must register in advance by Wednesday\, April 23. Registration is available online or via a downloadable PDF\, which can be submitted to Auburn Parks\, Arts & Recreation. \nVolunteer groups may select a preferred project or be assigned to areas needing the most support. Registered volunteers will receive details about their assigned location by email prior to the event. \nTo start the morning\, an optional welcome breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Auburn Community & Events Center. Volunteers are expected to check in at their designated sites between 8:45 and 9 a.m.\, with work beginning promptly at 9 a.m. \nVolunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and tools appropriate for their assignments.
