SUMMARY:CPR/AED & First Aid Training
DESCRIPTION:Puget Sound\, Renton\, and Valley Regional Fire Authorities have partnered to provide CPR/AED and First Aid courses by certified instructors.\n\n\n\nThis course is broken up into two\, half-day sessions – one for CPR/AED and one for First Aid. You are welcome to purchase tickets for one or both sessions of the course. Ticket prices are as follows: \nCPR/AED Ticket: $30.00 per participant* \nFirst Aid Ticket: $30.00 per participant* \nCPR/AED Ticket + First Aid Ticket: $60 per participant* \nParticipants must be 12 years old or older. Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.  \n*Plus applicable taxes and fees \n\n\nCPR / AED SESSION  [9:00AM to 12:30 PM] \nOur CPR / AED session is designed to provide the fundamental skills and confidence needed to perform CPR on an adult\, child\, or infant. Participants learn how to recognize and alleviate airway obstructions\, properly use an AED (automatic external defibrillator)\, and the signs\, symptoms\, and corrective action for a stroke or heart attack. Successful completion will result in a completion card. This card satisfies WISHA and OSHA requirements for CPR. \n\n\nFIRST AID SESSION  [1:30PM to 5:00PM] \nOur First Aid session provides the fundamental skills necessary to recognize and treat medical emergencies. Participants learn scene safety\, the signs and symptoms of diabetes\, stroke\, and seizures\, and how to best treat these emergencies. Participants also learn how to control bleeding\, treat for shock and burns\, and manage head and spine injuries. Successful completion will result in a completion card. This card satisfies WISHA and OSHA requirements for First Aid.
