DESCRIPTION:Prepayment Required – Payment due no later than Septmeber 6\, 2019\n\n\nThe event is by invitaion only and not open to the general public.\n\n\nDiscount code for those who receive credit point as follows:\nDiscount code for those who currently have credit will receive a separate email with instructions on how to obtain your discount.\nCredit awarded for candidates:\n\n\nthe candidate (or representative from the candidate’s department) helps to build burn cells on the Monday before the practical (credit is good for 12 months) \n\n\nif the department sends a representative to be an Evaluator for the practical (credit is good for 12 months) \n\n\nif the candidate participated as a role player in the past 12 months\n\n\nCredits are only awarded for their department/no exchanges (ie: someone from Kirkland Department helps to build cells – they can’t transfer that credit to a candidate taking the test from Bellevue Fire Department)\n\n\n*****This is a one-for-one candidate discount.  Example:  if you have – John Smith – build cells on Monday\, and then John Smith also participates as an evaluator or a role player on Friday…it is still only one discount for the whole event (not 2 separate discounts*****\n*****If you had John Smith help at more than one event in the past 12 months\, that would also count an additional discount.  Example:  if you had –  John Smith – help build cells or evaluated/role played in June 2018 (this is one event) and then John Smith helped build cells or evaluated/role played in October 2018 (one event)\, that counts as 2 total discounts for 2 different candidates.  Participating more than once in the same practical (build and evaluation/role player) does not provide extra-extra discounts for candidate*****\n\n\nLimited to 10 candidates\n\n(**Station 35: 2905 C Street SW\, Auburn. SUMMARY:The CHOICE
DESCRIPTION:The blind auditions game show – bringing job seeker and employers together.\nTHE CHOICE is an event to provide job seekers with an opportunity to deliver their 60-second commercial and meet with employers in the apprenticeship field.  It happens at WorkSource Auburn on September 27 from 1 to 3 pm – with a job fair from 2 to 3 pm.  When you apply to participate for THE CHOICE\, plan on doing preparation such as attending a workshop and working on your 60-Second Commercial in a one-on-one coaching session.  At the actual event\, Employers will listen to 60-second commercials from several job seekers.  We call this a “blind audition” as the employer and job-seeker cannot see each other.  Those who participate will see their communication skills rise up to what employers are looking for.  Contact Laura Westergard with questions at lwestergard@esd.wa.gov or 253-363-3954.\n\n
