Mayor Backus included information about the town hall in her weekly update last week, sharing:

“The first town hall of the year is just under a week away and I hope you have taken a moment to share your thoughts and questions about what you’d like us to highlight. If not, you can still take the survey at auburnwa.gov/townhalls and let us know!

Thursday’s virtual program will include two main parts. We will start the evening off with quick updates from each of our department directors about accomplishments in the past year and goals for the year ahead, then we will dive into questions and answers with a panel including myself and representatives from throughout the City.

So far, we have seen a lot of questions come in about homelessness, litter, community and economic development, roads, and police services. I hope to see you there (virtually) and again, if you haven’t had a chance to share your questions, there is still time to at auburnwa.gov/townhalls.”
