The City of Auburn City Council has a study session every second and fourth Monday.  If there is a fifth Monday in the month, and agenda items warrant it, a fifth study session will be held.   Study sessions are held at 5:30pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.

Study sessions are a chance for the city council to receive information and ask questions about resolutions and ordinances that will be coming before them at city council meetings.  Presentations are also made from city staff and outside agencies regarding programs and projects that are of interest to the city council. Study sessions are presided over by the Deputy Mayor.  A portion of the study session will also be presided over by the committee chair during presentations under their committee’s purview.
