Halloween Harvest FestivalHalloween Harvest
& Les Gove Park Trunk-or-Treat

This fun event for kids ages 2-10 and their families. There will be games, crafts, a photo booth, Trunk-or-Treating around Les Gove Park’s trail, a Boo-seum at the White River Valley Museum and lots more for your lil’ goblin to enjoy!

Gingerbread House ContestGingerbread Treehouse
Entries on display from December 2-16
Application Deadline: November 4
Auburn Community & Event Center

There are two categories in the 2019 Gingerbread House Contest! Eight entries will be accepted in the child category, ages 12 and under. Ten entries will be accepted in the adult category, ages 13 and up. Those interested in creating a gingerbread house can apply now. This fun event celebrates the holidays and brings the community out to see what Auburn can build! Any structures real or imaginary, houses, igloos, spaceships, etc. will be accepted. This event is free and open to all groups and individuals. Application Deadline: November 4, 2019

The entries will be on display at the Community & Event Center from December 2nd until December 16th at noon. Stop by and vote on your favorite display. A winner from each category will be announced on Monday, December 16th.


Veterans ParadeVet Parade

The 54th annual Veterans Parade will be held in Auburn on Saturday, November 9 at 11:00 AM. The parade boasts over 200 units and nearly 6,000 parade participants, including 25+ high school marching bands, military vehicles, veterans’ units, honor guards and more. The parade route travels along Main Street from E Street to A Street SW/NW.  Full details at www.auburnwa.gov/vetsday.

White River Valley Museum

Check out the Festival of Trees: A Celebration of Community and Culture at the White River Valley Museum. Catch the spirit of the season and learn about the traditions and cultures that make up the rich tapestry of people that call the South Sound home. The exhibit features artificial pine trees decorated by local ethnic heritage groups including: Sons of Italy, Iraqi Community Center of WA, Polish Home, Chinese Americans League, Sons of Norway, White River Buddhist Temple, Pacific Asian Empowerment Program, the Auburn Marshallese Community, and more. The whole Museum will be decorated for the holidays, making it a perfect stop for the holidays.


Cookies with Mrs. Clauscookies with mrs claus

Mrs. Claus will be stopping by before the Santa Parade for a special afternoon of holiday cheer! Bring the little ones for stories read by Mrs. Claus, cookie decorating, hot cocoa and Christmas crafts. And, don’t forget the camera for a photo op. It’s sure to get you in the holiday spirit! Activities include: cookie decorating, story time, crafts, holiday face-painting. Preregistration admission is $8 for residents and $10 for non-residents. On-site registration is $12 at the door for children. Adults are free! Register ONLINE, over the phone by calling our Parks Front Desk at 253-931-3043, or in-person at the Auburn Community and Events Center (910 Ninth ST SE, Auburn WA 98002).


Santa Parade & Tree Lighting Santa Parade

4:30pm | Main Street in downtown Auburn

We are shaking things up downtown Auburn this winter with an improved lighted Santa Parade! A festive and fun parade that will now allow floats, tractors, horses, walking entries, and other motorized units that will light up Main Street! The parade will be followed by the lighting of the tree in front of City Hall with a visit from Santa! Be sure to stop by City Hall before the parade for pre-parade entertainment!

Breakfast with Santa

HO! HO! HO! It’s not too early to think about registering for the popular Breakfast with Santa. The event features a special breakfast served by Santa’s elves, musical entertainment and a special visit from Santa.

Auburn resident fee: $7 child/$8 adult
Non-resident fee: $9 child/$10 adult
