Celebrate 4th of July at Les Gove Park

Auburn’s 4th of July Festival is an old-fashioned, hometown celebration featuring a kids’ bike parade, a variety of handcrafted artisan vendors, food concessions and attractions for all ages. The Freedom Stage will feature a variety of top-level bands offering exciting performances.

Highlighting the festivities is the annual Kids’ Bike Parade. Children of all ages may line-up on their decorated bicycles, tricycles, strollers, wagons or unicycles beginning at 11:30 a.m. The parade begins at noon, led by festively-decorated golf carts carrying Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus, City of Auburn Council members and other dignitaries from around the Auburn Valley. Free festival activities include bocce ball, White River Valley Museum entry, face painting, Maker’s Space entry, and activity. An event wristband can be purchased for $5 and is good for unlimited games of miniature golf and laser tag, rides on the trackless train, pony carousels, Tubs O’ Fun, play on all (19!) inflatable rides, participation on the rock climbing wall and bungee trampolines and balloon art.

Over 40 craft vendors will offer an array of hand-crafted items, from jewelry and kids’ items to fine art and candles. The Auburn Golf Course will be offering mini golf, and festival-goers can admire unique cars in the car show. The White River Valley Museum will offer free admission during the festival and the Auburn Bocce Club will provide free instruction and demos. This year’s event also features a Book Sale in the Les Gove Building, hosted by the Friends of the Auburn Library, bingo, hosted by the Auburn Eagles, a food court and much more.

4th of July Festival Entertainment

New this year is Vuelta La Luna Circus Variety Show, featuring aerialists, an acrobatic duo, circus magic tricks, and kids interaction. The first of the four shows begin at 11:30 a.m. In between shows, you’ll see some talented roving entertainment. These performances are sure to please audiences of all ages.

The Freedom Stage boasts the energetic ’50s and ’60s rock and roll band, Wally & The Beavs from 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. The opening ceremonies will be held on the Freedom Stage at 12:15 p.m.  The popular Hall Pass Band will be rocking the stage from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., performing Rock and Pop favorites.
