REVIVE is so excited to be hosting National Day of Prayer this year in partnership with Mayor Nancy Backus and the City of Auburn.  This is a special time designed to prioritize prayer to God and focus our attention on what matters most in our community.

The first Thursday of May, declared by Mayor Nancy Backus, is a day of prayer for the City of Auburn. Whether you can’t imagine your life without prayer or can’t imagine where to begin, this is an event design to include and involve all people no matter where they may be on their faith journey.

This year’s theme is HOPE – Hands Extended. To give hope you have to use your hands either through serving, giving, or prayer. With two services at 12pm & 6pm, faith leaders, city and state leaders, Auburn business owners and non-profit leaders will gather together to pray for hope. With dozens of guests including Mars Flannery (REVIVE), Mayor Nancy Backus (City of Auburn), State Representative Jamila Taylor, Kacey Bray (Auburn Chamber of Commerce), Debbie Christian (Auburn Food Bank), as well as Auburn local Award Winning musical artists Alliya (REVIVE MC) and Empress.

This event is more accessible than ever for all people in our community as we included multi-faith groups, business owners, and community leaders. National Day of Prayer has also partnered with the Auburn Food Bank to help raise money to give Hope financially to their efforts to the Auburn community.

Whether you have a faith persuasion or not National Day of Prayer is sure to be a historic event that wouldn’t be the same without you. Hope is not stagnate, hope extends. For more information go to therevivechurch.org/pray.
