“We are very thankful for the strong support that our community has given us throughout the years and we continue to feel that support tonight,” said Colton Fogelberg, Valley Professional Firefighters Public Relations Representative.

“Even before seeing the positive results tonight,” continued Fogelberg, “we were met with strong support from the community when our members interacted with the public regarding Proposition 1 while off-duty.”

Similar sentiments of gratitude were echoed by members of the Auburn School District administration and school board through posts on social media.

Results this afternoon continue to trend up, confirming the inevitable passage of all three propositions.

Early results show the replacement EP&O Levy and the replacement Technology Levy are passing. The results will be certified Feb. 21.”

One of the points made by Valley Regional Fire Authority has been the increase in calls as the population within their service area increases.  “Our members are now often responding to over 1,000 calls per month,” said Fogelberg.

“Passage of this measure allows us to continue building on our strong foundation of fiscal responsibility, and will sustain our services to the community that we are so proud to serve. Thank-you for this vote of confidence,” said Valley Regional Fire Authority CFO, Mark Horaski.
