Auburn Symphony kicks off Summer Series with outdoor concert at Mary Olson Farm

Auburn Symphony’s 2019 Summer Series begins June 27 with From the Stage!, an outdoor concert at
the beautiful Mary Olson Farm. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket, and revel in a musical journey through
the ages with something for everyone.

Audience members will enjoy popular favorites from musicals and more while basking in the sunshine
and majestic scenery of the farm – including the farm’s gardens, barn, historic farmhouse, farm animals, and more.

Program pieces include Somewhere Over the Rainbow, I Could Have Danced All Night, Summertime
from Porgy and Bess, Nessun Dorma from Puccini’s opera Turandot, and songs from Oklahoma and
The Sound of Music.

Rachel DeShon, Seattle soprano who performed at ASO’s 2018 holiday concert, is back for more. She
joins orchestra musicians Bill Boyd and Karen Sorenson, violins, Mike Watson, viola, and Brian
Wharton, cello.

transportation to and from the parking lot. Also starting at 6, docents from the White River Valley
Historical Museum will give tours of the farm, including the fully-restored house and barn.
Wine will be available for purchase. Guests may bring outside food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Leashed dogs are allowed. Concerts at Mary Olson Farm are festival seating with poor wheelchair and
walker access. This concert is made possible with support from White River Valley Historical Museum
and City of Auburn.

The Summer Series continues at Geaux Brewing with Bach, Beethoven, and Brews on Jully 11 and at
the Auburn International Farmers Market at Les Gove Park on July 21.   Find more information at
