Garcia has worked for ASD for three years. Before coming to the ASD he worked in manufacturing and distribution in the private sector.

Garcia was nominated by Lakeland Hills Principal Colleen Barlow. “Michael is a true customer service person and his skills are greatly appreciated. He is positive and professional in all communication. He is always upbeat, supportive, and a problem solver. He is willing to serve others to make someone else’s day better,” Barlow said.

As warehouse lead, Garcia spends most of his time communicating, coordinating, and scheduling. He works closely with school and building staff to get supplies delivered. Garcia loves the challenge of meeting everybody’s needs on a different level and enjoys the opportunity to work with all types of people.

Originally from California, Garcia moved to Washington in 2012 to attend Northwestern University. He and his wife of almost 15 years, Ritchie, have twin 14-year-old daughters attending Auburn Mountainview High School and an 11-year-old son attending Hazelwood Elementary School.

Apolinar’s teacher Arlene Szymanski said, “Dominick demonstrates the qualities of a Pioneer Trailblazer. He is respectful, responsible, and safe.”

Apolinar gets along well with other students and school staff. He is confident and takes on leadership roles in class. Apolinar is always ready to lend a helping hand by helping his peers with math and reading. He is an all-around enthusiastic and engaged learner by participating in class discussions.

Apolinar’s leadership also extends to ASB, where he is a class representative for his fifth-grade class. He plans on becoming a teacher someday, and his favorite subjects are math and reading. For fun he enjoys playing Minecraft, Roblox, and watching YouTube.

Congratulations Michael and Dominick!
