Arcadia Virtual Grand Opening

press releaseLast year, the YMCA and Nexus Youth and Families joined forces with government officials and private funders to expand our collective investment in young people and families across our region.

To address the critical housing shortages and behavioral health services for youth and young adults facing homelessness, we broke ground on Arcadia, a state-of-the-art facility in Auburn, and the first of its kind in South King County.

Arcadia will provide permanent, supportive housing for 15 young adults, emergency shelter for 12 more, a drop-in youth center and behavioral health programming — all to build resiliency for young people ages 12-24.

Help us welcome young people and Y staff to their new Arcadia home and discover how a community is designing solutions together to end homelessness.

Join us online June 16 at 11:00 am for a virtual ribbon-cutting event, a tour of Arcadia, stories from young people, and virtual panel discussions, followed by a Q&A with some of the members of our public and private coalition.
