APD Investigating Suspicious Death on Lea Hill

Auburn Police Officers responding to a welfare check discovered the body of an adult female Monday.  The adult female’s roommate contacted police requesting a welfare check.  APD Commander Steve Stocker shared that when officers arrived at the Lea Hill home, they had to force open the door to the decedent’s room.

The decedent was a tenant at the home in the 11500 Block of SE 320th Pl.

Stocker explained that as the manner of death is not obviously natural, a death investigation is required.  Due to the open investigation, Stocker was to share details of the deceased’s state.

UPDATE: The Auburn Examiner has confirmed with both the Auburn Police Department and the King County Medical Examiner that the manner of death in this incident has been ruled a suicide.
