San Jose VTA Shooting
A mass shooting in San Jose left nine people dead Wednesday morning. Reports of a shooting at a VTA union meeting first came in shortly after 6:30 a.m. The shooting occurred inside a building at the rail yard.
Among the deceased was the shooter, a 57-year-old VTA technician who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

*As a reminder, when the U.S. flag is flown at half-staff or half-mast, it should first be raised to the top for an instant, then immediately lowered to the half-staff or half-mast position. Prior to lowering the flag, it should be raised once more to the peak, then lowered.
