Assessing the Cause

The witness to the accident informed police that the vehicle had been traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash.  APD’s investigation confirmed speed to be a contributing factor to the accident.  Preliminary findings by Investigators suggest drugs and/or alcohol also contributed to the accident.  Toxicology reports will be returned in four to six weeks.

Investigators will determine what, if any, charges are appropriate upon return of the toxicology reports.  Any traffic violations will be issued at the completion of the investigation as well.
